:seedling:Hey heroes,

This week:

All about working on and launching the Epidemic Response Quest!

  • Core Community: Focus on filling in ERQ SOLUTIONS spreadsheet which we will use to determine the DATA tab (ie which are the best solutions for now). Need someone to flesh out the NETWORK spreadsheet (there are sooo many communities out there we need to lay the foundation for mapping)

  • Max: Prepping ERQ with TASKS, LABS, launch page for on-boarding, The Hub volunteer posting, spreadsheet organization (including figuring out Last Updated column) and integration with TASKS, launch of Quest with call to action to recruit core community volunteers and Quest heroes.

Other news:

Sorry for the delay with launching the ERQ, I have the strategy now on how to do this and get more help for our core team to grow the Quest content and community. This is finally the moment for Humanitrack to get out there and show the world we can provide value!!!

:rainbow:Hey Humanitrack Heroes!

This week:

Another welcome to many of the new volunteers here: @Sreya Krishnakumar, @Gargi Roy Goswami , @Jacob Ross , @Jayant Kalaghatagi , @Nilesh Rajule , @Mackenze McAleer, @Larry White, @Tejas Dhekane :tada: We use this #general channel mostly for these Humanitrack-wide updates (weekly status on Mondays). All ERQ (Epidemic Response Quest) "general" communication should stay in the #epidemic-response channel.

  • ERQ Volunteers: Continue on-boarding (to understand this work environment and the framework) and finding where you best can contribute your time in your role and tasks. Let's focus on the "To-do list" found in the ERQ Home document:

-Get the "Link drop" sorted to the other sections (remember to delete from the "Link drop once you are done finding it a home in a spreadsheet)

-Re-organizing the links in the SOLUTIONS sheet's Other section (we might need to create more Categories and Sub-categories)

-Figuring out the DATA metrics we want to follow and add to SOLUTIONS columns

-Continue spreading the word for more volunteers.

  • Max: You can see some my list in "To-do". Video walkthrough created of the volunteering and this Quest, and of course continue to find and on-board volunteers. Launching the ERQ at humanitrack.org!!!

Other news:

We're getting traction and getting close to officially launching the ERQ at humanitrack.org to get many MANY more volunteers (who don't have much time) to help add missing links/updates to our spreadsheets and more via our Task system and platform there. This is where we share all of our hard work to other communities and the world! Please be patient with me as I have a LOT to manage here and don't have other managers/volunteers yet with me to offload my tasks onto. I also have a 10 and 6.5 year old, and a house to take care of while we are all stuck at home, and it is Easter vacation here. I also need a break to recharge during the weekends. So if I'm not responding quickly, don't get worried...I'll eventually get back to you!Now let's go have a great week and get these spreadsheets ready for the world to use!!!

:sunrise_over_mountains:Greetings Humanitrack Heroes!

This week:

Welcome to all the new volunteers from last week: @Kaizen Nathani @Mubbshir Ramay @Pallavi Nimbhore @Anjali Yadav @Onkar Date @Charushila Sudam Khandait @Pooja Borah and @Moyo Adenmosun!

  • ERQ Volunteers: We have several goals we should work towards this week before the ERQ goes public at humanitrack.org...

-Make sure SOLUTIONS is filled out with all solutions found via https://coronavirustechhandbook.com/home . Also a great resource for our LIBRARY content. Yes, our ERQ volunteering documents are heavily inspired by their enormous handbook community, but we are focused very much on the science, tech, and innovation aspects of COVID-19 and are sharing our work with them and the world.

-Add metrics to SOLUTIONS-Disease Diagnostics. Eleni will be helping define the columns, others can help fill in the data

-Add metric columns to other SOLUTIONS sections

-Flesh out the EVENTS sheet

-Like last week: on-boarding of new volunteers and continuing to add links, update, and organize!!!

  • Max: Finish making the video intro to the Quest. I'll also start daily updates in #epidemic-response . Continue prep for Quest launch at humanitrack.org..we are making viewing of all Quests and Labs (forums) public so you don't have to register. Hopefully this is done this week so we can finally and formally tell the world about the launch of the Epidemic Response Quest and they can see and benefit from our work! This development work is all that is holding us back from this launch. Here in Denmark, we start to open society back up slowly starting Wednesday when my kids go back to 0 and 3 grade class at their school. More things may start to open May 10th depending on how this goes.

Other news:

The video I'm making explains a lot about how the Quest is structured (volunteer heroes here and many more heroes at humanitrack.org) and our why and how. I've actually added some of this info to the on-boarding document, so please go check it out!The overall objective of this Quest is to create agile, interactive and complete global overviews and roadmaps of the technologies driving progress on handling and preventing COVID-19 and future epidemics...and then help accelerate that progress!Volunteers like you help scale and accelerate our efforts to reach this objective. We can only do this together with help from you.So, thank you all! I was really impressed with the number of volunteers who quickly got on-boarded and contributed to clearing out the link drop section, fleshing out the spreadsheets, and putting some great structure around things. Keep it up and have a great week!

:speaking_head_in_silhouette:Hey Humanitrack Heroes!

This week:

Welcome to the latest volunteers @Sheetal Shinde and @Audre Marija Gradeckaite!

  • ERQ Volunteers: Goals this week...

-Be active and communicate in the #epidemic-response channel!

-Flesh out the EVENTS sheet

-Research resource links added to LIBRARY to help heroes find new/updated information for all sheets, and assign areas for ownership

-Flesh out the LIBRARY sheet (not so much the article section, but the resources)

-Sorting the data we have in Disease Diagnostics so we can report on the best available solutions...this is the most pressing section we want to report on and share with the world.

-Figure out how to do this same sorting and reporting for patient treatment (drugs) and potential vaccines...the other two most important sections after

  • Max: Sorry for the delay again, really needed the weekend to re-energize! Am posting the ERQ launch post right after this!

-Communications of new Quest to public (3 posts this week, nearly every day on Instagram)

-Push for additional volunteers

-Lots of Quest editor/admin stuff and fleshing out our COVID-19 dashboard https://www.humanitrack.org/pages/covid-19-quest

Other news:

Last week got a rejection for the Innofounder Experienced grant which would have funded Humanitrack for a year. Oh well, we pick ourselves back up off the floor and use this rejection like all the other ones as fuel to prove them wrong and show the world what we can do together. It may be quiet for the moment, but things are about to heat up:fire:. Get ready and thank you all for your time, efforts, and commitment!

:green_heart:Hey Humanitrackers:green_heart:

This week:

  • Epidemic Response Quest:

-We'll become more than 40 volunteers! What!?! But as with our entire Humanitrack community it is about how active we are, not about the number of people we have

-We now have a team of 3 Project Managers and with this has already come an update to our on-boarding document and cleanup of our other main resource documents. More changes to come to the Home document, especially our To-do list, and how to coordinate with our now large team of volunteers.

-Some goals this week include finishing major LIBRARY sheet changes and additions (including fleshing out Research resources), finishing and posting our COVID-19 state of testing editorial article as well as one more article, and more on-boarding of new volunteers.

  • Max:

-Find marketing communications volunteers

-First editorial finished and published

-2nd article written and published with spotlight on CPHNano's 5 minute saliva testing solution

-Respond to 14 volunteer applicants that could be able to join, and the 11 from VolunteerMatch who don't quite make the cut

-Continue Google Sheet/Drive work with Rubén

-Continue helping on-board and offloading/assigning tasks to others

-Continue coordinating with Julian and our newest illustrator Margo for our articles/posts

Other news:

Wow, okay a week ago I mentioned it was quiet and things would heat up...oh yeah we are heated up:fire::fire:!!! I'm soo thankful to all of you who have joined, are active, and are taking initiatives in this Quest to grow it's content, community, and soon its impact on the world. It's not perfect or always pretty, but we are sure as heck making progress and it feels FANTASTIC!!!

:space_invader:Happy Star Wars Day Humanitrackers!

This week:

  • Epidemic Response Quest:

-Goals will be set for May and the tasks will be reflected in our new To Do List

-Continuing on-boarding of our latest volunteers

-Our new weekly ZOOM meeting

  • Max:

-Pushing marketing and spreading of our latest article

-Presentation for KEA digital design students to see if we can recruit some volunteer content creators, SoMe gurus, and marketers (and a student intern for August)

-Create the goals and our own roadmap for the ERQ

-Making the ERQ at humanitrack.org more complete and friendly for visitors looking for information

Other news:

What a great week we had last week...so many new heroes and so much progress. This week is very much about making it clear what our volunteers need to work on to meet our goals, and how we make what we are doing even more accessible to the public and community at our ERQ.Thought it was cool we got our first solution idea posted in the Labs (forums): https://www.humanitrack.org/labs/36/quest-epidemic-response-ideas
